3RD PUNIC WAR  (149 BC)

After losing the 2nd war, Carthage was ruled by Rome
They rebelled against Rome, but failed miserably
Rome destroyed Carthage and enslaved their people as a punishment

AFTER JULIUS CAESAR’S DEATH

After Caesar’s murder, Rome transitioned from a republic to an empire
Rome was embroiled in controversy and war as they decided upon a new leader
Eventually, Gaius Octavius won the war and declared himself emperor.

 

AUGUSTUS CAESAR

After becoming emperor, Octavius renamed himself Augustus Caesar
Augustus was Julius Caesar’s adopted grand nephew
Augustus was a well-trained member of the military
