Semester Spanish

We have been learning about Day of the Dead in class along with learning how to tell time in Spanish.  It has been a busy week.  Students have added to their previous knowledge about Mexico’s biggest holiday called “Day of the Dead” or “Dia de los Muertos”.  It is a celebration of life and a way to honor ones loved ones who have passed.

We have also put our knowledge of numbers (some of us need more practice) to the practice of telling time in Spanish. It is fun to see students able to see it come together and be able to ask and answer “What time is it”, “Que hora es”?  We have taken notes, practiced verbally and have made a study tool with a clock that goes into our notebooks.

Next week we will be celebrating Day of the Dead by making masks.
