UNC-CH’s Project Uplift program

11th grade CCA students: I received the following information about UNC-Chapel Hill’s Project Uplift program that will take place in May and/or June for selected students. This program is primarily for under-represented student populations on UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus, but they will accept applications for review from any rising seniors that are interested in their program. The application deadline is January 15th, 2018. Students can be nominated by their high school counselor OR they can apply on their own. Please let Mrs. Bell know if you want me to nominate you.

Project Uplift – UNC’s Office for Diversity and Inclusion is pleased to announce that they’re accepting nominations and applications for their signature summer programs.

Project Uplift enables high-achieving rising seniors to experience college life on the Carolina campus over two days in May or June. Program dates are:
May 24-26, 2018 (these dates are likely during our CCA final exam time)
May 31 – June 2, 2018 (these dates are likely during our CCA final exam time)
June 7-9, 2018
June 14-16, 2018

Uplift PLUS is a rigorous 5-week program for high–achieving, in-state, Project Uplift participants. Students participate in a three-credit English course, engage in research, and much more while staying on campus. Students may express interest in Uplift PLUS by writing a supplemental essay within their Project Uplift application. There is no separate application.
