Hello Parents!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Farm Festivities this week! The Farm Animals were adorable! The performance was great! The food was fantastic!! WE CAN ‘T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!

Here are some updates and important information:

-If you have not picked up your dishes from the farm feast please contact your child’s teacher.  We also have a ton of utensils (large serving spoons.)

-Please send in any farm photos from the performance!

-Please make sure that you’re having your child complete at least 2 compass activates each week.  This is linked to homework.  I receive a weekly report each Monday.  If you don’t have access to a computer, please let me know.

-I am sending home a nonsense fluency sheet today.  Add this to your red bag time.  Directions are in your child’s red bag.

-Please have your child complete the extension activities in skills homework: they really benefit from the writing practice.  Thank you to those who are already doing this!

-Our Gingerbread House activity will take place on December 15th. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to help! Here is the link:  http://www. signupgenius.com/go/ 4090e45aaaa2fa3fc1-gingerbread

Domain (Listening and Learning): We will continue to work on our class science fair project on magnetism!

Skills: The students will continue to review the sounds that they’ve learned.   They will be introduced to the Alphabet and learn letter names.  They will also begin to blend and read four –sound words with initial or final consonant clusters (trip/sand).  They will also learn the spelling alternative ‘s’ for /z/ (dogs).  Students will also begin reading in their KIT readers.
