Yr. long Spanish 1

We have had a busy week in Spanish. We have been talking about Mexico’s largest holiday, “Day of the Dead”, “Dia de los Muertos”.  This is a celebration of life that honors a loved one that has passed.  It can be a very misunderstood holiday for us.  We have learned about the different customs that surround this holiday and what they are for.

Students have been given a choice of 7 different activities they could choose from to do a “Day of the Dead” project. They brought home a rubric on Monday and told me what they would like to do.  Seems lots of students will be in the kitchen baking bread.  Please note: I really did tell them to ask first.  :)
