Dollar Jean Day for December will be the Karson Cross Memorial Fund on Friday December
15th! Karson’s family uses this fund to purchase cleats and other athletic supplies for students in
need, and at Christmas they also sponsor the Salvation Army Christmas Angels. For those who
don’t know who Karson Cross is, he is a former CCA-CFA student. He passed away unexpectedly
in the summer of 2016. He graduated from Cornerstone Charter Academy where he excelled in
academics and athletics and was the recipient of many awards. He was a rising freshman at Page
High School. He left a legacy of kindness and generosity of spirit that his family continues
through this memorial fund. His family will be sharing a video presentation in our morning assembly
on Friday December 8th. Let’s make this our biggest Dollar Jean Day yet and show what
the CCA-CFA family can do, especially in honor of one of our own! In November, our Jean Day
recipient was our Cardinals Helping Cardinals which is another program founded by a CCACFA
parent to identify and minister to needs within the Cardinal family. Specifically, these are
families in crisis: a severe injury or illness, terminal illness, a house fire, a deployment, or other
significant and traumatic circumstances. These individuals or families can be nominated through
a staff member or teacher, and their personal information remains confidential. If you know of a
family in need, Cardinals Helping Cardinals is able to provide a gift of support.
