First Field Trip!

Haw River State Park


Where: Summit Environmental Education Center at Haw River State Park (

When: September 15, 2017.

Cost: $22 per student, including lunch.

How: We will need drivers (can drop off and pick up, Haw River is about 15-20 minutes from school) and 1 chaperone per 10 students.

The purpose of the trip is team building and experiencing environmental science.  More info will be posted and sent home as needed!

For Students and Parent Chaperones:

What Items to Wear/Items to Bring for Students and Adults
– Wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable and can get wet and dirty. SEEC courses are taught outdoors and participants will be walking approximately 3 miles over uneven terrain.

Please bring/wear the following items:
– Clothing (as dictated by school)
– Jacket or sweatshirt
– Rain jacket or poncho (if there is ANY potential for rain)
– Shoes (these must be tennis shoes or hiking boots and they will get dirty)
– Hat
– Comfort Items
– Water bottle
– Sunscreen

Please DO NOT bring/wear the following:
– Electronics
– Cell Phone Expensive Jewelry
– New Clothes
– New Shoes
– Chewing Gum
– Candy
